With that budget I'd build something pretty and at least a little unusual.
*Chamber? .257 Bob
Barrel and over all length? 20", or 18" with a mannlicher stock
Brand (custom or local hunting store brand)? Custom, with a custom wood stock and your favorite CRF action
Bolt, lever action, semi or on an AR platform?
Scope? something decent with a good #4 reticle and not too much size. swaro, S&B come to mind.
No suppressor?
