How many Californians are moving in?
I know one couple who left California to move back to La. about a year ago. They are part of our extended family.
Both were retired and found the cost of living in Ca. to be prohibitive. They bought a home on the north shore in a somewhat rural area that has 2 acres of land and a beautiful single story brick home.
When the wife and I went to visit them, one of the first things they mentioned was how cheap things were here for many of the same products, especially gasoline. They told us gas started at $6+ a gallon and went up from there. Then things like property taxes, insurances, etc. that really ate into their budget in Ca. were way cheaper here and they had more disposable income.
