Everyone acts like he’s ineffective. He’s the most successful president of all time. No one has enacted policy change, and put their ‘values’ into acts of fruition as he has. Too bad he wants to and is destroying America.

There's more truth to this than we'd like to admit. However, a president with a prescient mind would temper the amount of change to what the public is willing to accept. Having a puppet president is useful because he takes the blame and there's plausible deniability for everyone else.
I agree with you that the GOP should be stopping much of this craziness but 1) it's terribly difficult given the state of the news media, 2) they get the win anyway because many vote "against the Dems" more so than for the GOP so they get the vote regardless, and especially 2) the GOPe's true constituency is multi-national corporations, who don't care much either way on the social issues. In fact, big business likes the illegal immigration because it holds the wage base down. Given these facts, why would the GOP intervene?
