Imagine if we gradually took over Canadian territory, and sequestered "Canadians" into a small patch of country, blocked their ability to leave, and never gave them anything for kicking them out of their homes. And, occasionally lobbed bombs into that small area killing tons of civilians and children over the years. Israel has killed several times more Palestinian children than vice-versa.

What would Canada be justified in doing?

I suppose we could lie and say "there's no such thing as Canada and there is no such thing as a Canadian, Manifest Destiny, it is God's will we have this land etc. etc..

In this scenario, Canada would be an utterly defeated and subjugated adversary.
They would have two choices.
1. Submit to the superior power.
2. Conitinue to fight a lost war and be swept from the face of the earth.

Hamas has chosen option two.
But Israel has been compassionate and has tolerated defiance.
Their patience has run out I suspect.
