totally disagree. the problem with the dbs in zone coverage is that the dbs DO NOT cover the receiver in their zone area, they cover the grass in the zone. Just the opposite of what you propose.
How many time have we seen receivers catch passes standing still with 3 defenders completely around him guarding grass. Let one cover grass and another guard cover closely anyone in the zone area. Otherwise nothing is going to change.

You can disagree but thats not how you play zone defense. It's not about PBU's, it's about keeping the ball in front of them and making the tackles
