1) IIRC you are dealing with a problem or catalyst that is causing the depression. This is a good thing — you know the root cause, you can address it in therapy, and time heals all wounds. This too shall pass.
2) Don’t sleep too much. I find too much sleep is worse than not enough.
3) Do things you always wanted to do, go places you always wanted to go.
4) Turn into a gym maniac. Trust me it works. You look good, you feel good.
5) Unless absolutely necessary, fight the beast without drugs.
6) Stay away from the bottle. Don’t have another drink until you start to feel happy and optimistic again. And even at that, tread lightly for a while.
