Anyone have issue with bathroom ceiling Heater blower going out? Unit is old and is a outgoing vent/fan and incoming heater fan combo. Vent fan works fine, Heater fan starts but then slowly dies.
Is it easy to fix those things or need electrician or replace whole thing?

They're pretty easy to replace. If it's the standard size, it's simply and plug and play type of installation.

I would hold off on calling a plumber

You will be calling a carpenter or electrician for replacement.

Broan is a common brand and modules for the heater may still be available.

Could be a motor, dirt or loose connection.

And note that many openings are not standard and you may have some sheetrock work afterwards.

You should be able to replace pretty much any part from the bathroom. I’ve replaced almost every blower or heater from below, more than once over 30 years, leaving the unit in place. Pain to replace the entire thing.

Broan/Nutone changed their models a few years ago, and parts for the old ones (655) are hard to come by. Naturally, the newer models, while they use a housing with the same dimensions, no longer fit into the old housing. It’s not as easy of a fix as it used to be, especially if you don’t have attic access on top of it
