Coated my front columns a couple months ago and got a little carried away causing some drips on my front porch concrete. Tried pressure washing and some paint thinner with no luck. It obviously looks like crap so looking for some serious chemical help to clean it up.

You guys have any recommendations?

Paint thinner from the hardware store is weak.

Acetone, Toluene, or MEK will melt it easily.

If that doesn't work, go to the auto parts store and get some Kleen Strip "aircraft stripper" paint remover for auto paint.

I'd try some vinegar concentrate. That stuff works like a charm. 30% is what I used.

I had a lot of glue build up on my 50" clamps so I built a rig to soak them in PVC pipe. Literally after 3 minutes it was soft enough to just wipe off.

Cleaned my tub with it as well but warning, it's extremely toxic to breathe it in so wear a respirator.

so I tried some straight accetone and the stuff just dried up on the concrete within seconds of me putting it down. Moving on to second option

Yep, acetone does have a low flash point. Toluene evaporates much slower. The cooler weather will slow down evaporation also. Was it 85 degrees and in full sun when you tried it?

I remember I used some jelly- like stripper from Sherwin Williams to strip spar from a wooden front door. “Strypeeze.” Looks like they no longer make it.
