If I remember correctly, Gil was a college standout at Holy Cross. The Saints drafted him in the 6th or 7th round in maybe '86. Could have been '87. He was a popular pick in NO. Hometown boy, overachiever, etc.
He held out during the beginning of training camp. He didn't hire an agent, but used his girlfriend to represent him. Against Jim Finks!

Both, two different games. Funny enough he also has pick 6s off Jameis and Carr as well.
