Price out what it cost to DIY… probably $35 cheaper. Not exactly highway robbery

Is that the one that got rid of the drain plug? The mechanic doesn’t even have to go under the car. He brings a wrench and a vacuum pump, he opens the oil from the top and inserts a special suction line to suck out all the oil. The filter is right on top too.
That reminds me of some newer riding mowers from John Deere. The most of the oil stays in the filter acting as the oil pan. So when it comes time to change the oil, all you have to do is to change the filter and it comes prefilled with oil. Each easy change filter is about 50 dollars. And if you had the old style it might cost 10 dollars plus your time.
