Hiked to Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park with wife and kids last summer. Standing in awe of how beautiful it was and noticed two grizzlies hanging out on the other side. Looked like they could eat the black bears in North Louisiana.

Anyone saying they could successfully fend off a black bear attack is like saying you could successfully defend yourself from a lion or tiger attack.

If they wanna kill you, you’re dead. Several stories below of bears breaking into homes, cabins, and tents and killing people. Your only chance of survival is a firearm. One story mentions an adult male being killed by a brown bear near his cabin and an empty can of bear spray nearby. Stay strapped my friends. I’m going on a vacation to Broken Bow Lake in SE Oklahoma in a couple weeks and plan on doing some hiking. That area has one of the highest populations of black bears in OK. I’ll have my Glock 22 strapped.
