I mean if we really wanted dame we could have gotten him and kept BI and Z. I know injuries are a concern for making a trade like that but the only way you get out of mediocrity is taking chances. There’s always the risk of BI and Z getting hurt as long as they’re here

I'd argue that's not realistic, but fair.


I don't think Portland was ever going to send him our way, especially with how awkward it would have been to bring back CJ, even if he would be rerouted.

I'm confident that was just never a possibility.

I was all for that trade, I just don't think Portland was ever going to entertain it, and likely we were never serious since Dame wouldn't sign off on it.
