I went to a certain Jesuit university on St. Charles Avenue in the 1980s, I often rode my bicycle from my home in Little Sicily in Harvey to said institution. The Jackson Avenue ferry was my river crossing. Remember it fondly. In those years it was served by the M/V Crescent/Thomas Jefferson
