Fla at #2 is the right choice!!!

Texas will have a chance at an AP NC if OU beats Florida. Though Oregon St losing hurt their chances. IF it were Texas vs USC and Texas won they would have a stronger argument than beating Utah

Yeah Florida is still amazing, yet somehow they blew it to Ole Miss. I don't get why they are getting 1st place votes. At least Texas and Oklahoma play in a division with 3 other teams that would normally all be BCS eligible. Florida plays Georgia and 10 so-so to crappy teams.
ETA: I don't see how Florida is any more impressive stat-wise than Penn State and USC.

USC is out of the BCSCG picture so you can stop bringing them into the discussion ok!!!

You still continue to be a dipshit PJ. I was talking about Texas' chances at an AP NC.

Hey dumbfrick king of punctuation marks, he was talking about USC playing Texas in a BCS game that's NOT the national Championship game, giving Texas a chance to impress voters and win the AP title. But since Oregon State lost USC will more than likely play in the Rose Bowl against Penn State.
Seriously, when you're half retarded to begin with, don't go around trying to understand and referee complicated sports discussions.

Posted on 11/30/08 at 12:43 pm to dukke v
Based on what wins over highly ranked teams (or team for that matter)?

You can say this as many times as you want, but it doesn't change the fact that there is an AP national champion - every year since the 1930's.

Only until the BCS came along, and then when the AP doesn't have anything to do with the BCS then its a farce!!!

Oklahoma drops behind Texas after putting up 61 points on the road against the same team Texas barely beat at home?
that is some bullshite
Oklahoma went on the road and beat the #12 in the country by 20 points, scoring 61 points in the process, and they actually LOST votes this week.
fricking amazing
6 AP voters switched their votes this week. OU lost 15 votes in the coaches poll this week while Texas gained 26, and the frickers didn't even play
Florida drops a spot and loses votes with a 30 point win on the road against a Top 20 team
makes no sense

Only reason I can see is that Oklahoma gives up a shite ton of points. Texas has played more defense this year than Oklahoma.
