At this point, it's smart political strategy. It would take a MAJOR, unforeseen botching for Jeff Landry not to be Louisiana's next Governor.

That said, it sucks for voters that the front runner isn't going to have to give any sort of idea of his philosophies on state-specific issues.

I'm guessing it'll be eight years of mostly culture war stuff. Possibly some budget or civil service reform if pushed heavily by the state legislature.
