Termites

I have one isolated spot where termites did some damage. According to Terminex the damage is old. Likely done 5-10 years ago. An inspection of the crawl space did not find any other problem areas. Thank God.
Terminex wants $500 for the first whopper of a treatment. Months 2 - 12 will cost $114 per month. After the first 12 months the monthly charge drops to $34.
Is this a fair price, or otherwise?
Thanks in advance.
I should have posted to Home and Garden. Sorry. Mods please move if you see fit.

If they are no longer present, you could prob just do it yourself with the right chemicals.
Termite contracts are a huge waste.

Go with a local pest control place. The big boys will charge you an arm and a leg
