Never been in upper east, but as far as all the other comments, I drive over 3 hours there and back at least 3 times for SEC games a year, because I love the whole atmosphere. I also go to 1 or 2 road SEC games. Love being in opposing stadiums, although not particularly in seasons like 2020 or 2021. I guess I have so many great memories of being in that stadium for epic games over 30 years. Being at that Bama game last year was so sweet, not only because of the way we won, but because I remember the feeling of the many losses, including the games in 2012 and 2014, in which we outplayed them only to lose at the very end. Ole Miss was a great atmosphere last year too. Even MSU was pretty damn good. It’s easy to focus on the negatives and I certainly don’t understand some of the things like the poor lighting, bad sound system, and food that isn’t winning any competitions, but I pretty much focus on the football. The passion makes it worth it and life without passion is just existing.
