No he doesn’t.

To clarify, he may have said it, but no way he actually believes it. Arkansas may win (they won’t), but no serious person could have watched both teams play this year and objectively predict that. Their RB is still likely out, their OLine is a mess who had a bunch of false starts and holding penalties at home, and gave up a bunch of sacks and QB pressures to a BYU team only rushing 4, sometimes 3.

SEC opener in Tiger Stadium at night, the offense is humming coming in, OL is gelling and getting better each game, Diggs and Jackson have emerged at RB to go along with Williams as the probably top 3, Malik is playing as well as any WR in the country, etc…And again, if you’re objective, the Greg Brooks situation is much more likely to galvanize the team than distract them and it should give the crowd a little extra juice too. Again, Arkansas could win (they won’t), but it’s much more likely that the game looks like last week in Starkville than Arkansas coming in and pulling off the upset.

I think that BYU loss at home is gonna prove to be psychologically devastating to Arkansas. Especially since they pretty much doubled them up in offensive yards. That was the most winnable game on their schedule until they host State on October 21st. @LSU, neutral site game against A&M in Arlington, @Ole Miss, then @Bama.

That is a brutal stretch that should have started this week. Letting that BYU game slip away at home and beginning this stretch already behind the 8-ball with an OOC loss: I think they’re set up for a 6-6/5-7 type season, and deep down they probably know it. I’m sure they’ll come out fired up and ready to play Saturday, but if we jump on them
early and the crowd is still in it going into the 3rd quarter, their spirit is ripe to break and it could get away from them and out of hand early in the 2nd half.
