Les says and does things that seem so corny to me. I am not a Miles basher but he seems like the biggest nerd to me.
The singing of the fight song after home games - Do most other schools do that? Most of the players don't even sing along
The things that he says to try to motivate - "Pursuing Victory", "striving for excellence in all phases"........yada yada yada

Maybe its just me but I wouldn't mind our coach just saying "We'll line up our 11 against their 11 and see what happens".
Is it a northern, big ten thing or is it just Les?

tommy banks is even fast enough to do our slow developing run plays that have low percentage chance of succeeding.

A. It's the Alma Mater
B. It makes me proud as an alumnus that he does this, it's about school pride. I know a lot of folks that didn't go to LSU don't understand, but the football team is a representative of our school, and I think it's a great gesture.

Isn't Miles the guy that said he'd take his team and play any suckers anywhere? Or something southern and tough like that?

My initial question was wether he would fit in better at a northern school?
Maybe you are right about not going to school their but do a lot of other schools do that and are they northern schools?

That is the 'street' Les, not the southern Les.

Amen. I think it's a great thing. I'm an LSU graduate, and I get choked up singing the alma mater before each home game. I used to sing it (and "Hey Fightin' Tigers") to my daughter when she was a baby. I have great pride in my university, not just the sports teams.

I am more interested in whether he can get this team to play better. He has not done that a whit this season so far as I can tell.

I am probably in the minority on the fight song. Glad that it is important to a lot of people.

Do other schools do that after a game?

I would have to say Carroll and Meyer or maybe even Mack Brown. Nick might crack the top 5. He hasn't done enough yet!
