It's actually been a number of years since I've been back for a game, as I usually opted for road games and Rose Bowl trips to watch us lose a close one there (3 EFFING TIMES). But the pregame is largely bars and house parties around the stadium...our go to was the Big Ten Pub or one of the other bars around there, and then down to State St after. I believe that the new Union South has a fun pregame situation with the band and everything (and of course beer).

Some of my Badger brethren will likely have more current recommendations for you.

And I'll likely offend some of those folks by saying that I prefer the large tailgate field to bars for my pregaming...like what you get at Michigan, MSU, or PSU.
