I have been lurking around here off and on for about a year and I have a question. Why is Les Miles called "The Hat" by you folks. Thanks in advance. Not important, but the curiosity is killing me!

It is not because his hat is too tight. It is because when he wears it he very gently sets his hat atop his head. Unlike the normal person actually pulling the hat down on this head.

For whatever reason, it kinda fits funny on his head, it further caught on when Rece Davis of ESPN kept calling it (thereby making it nationally known) which he has switched over to calling him the Mad Hatter when Les goes to strategery and trickeration

They actually call him the Mad Hatter. That makes more sense.
