Personally, I don't mind taxes if going to what they say it is supposed to go to. If our roads and bridges were all in great shape, schools, healthcare, etc I'd be fine with it. When you raise taxes and roads, schools, healthcare, more people leeching on society, then people are going to be disgruntled. If Sweden politicians take care of their people, then I'm sure it works fine there.

exactly. if i could see my taxes actually improving things i would not mind paying them.

looking around America I can see that clearly isn't the case.
