Wrong Nicholson north of the campus looked much better as did Highland, and State Street did in the 60s and 70s. Dalrymple looked better, the Lakes are pitiful now. That even impacts the entry on South Lakeshore.

Stanford looks better. There wasn’t much on Nicholson and Burbank. Highland south of LSU has also hung on fairly well.

Many of the area around the campus has declined. Unless something really big happens it will not rebound any time soon.

I don’t doubt this, but it definitely looks better today than it did when I was in school (mid-2000s). It might still be a dump but it was worse before the last round of development on Highland.

They’re working on the lakes right now.
