I think this development plus the top golf will do very well, and is exciting news.

I’m not sold about the soccer field. Jefferson parish is also still talking about developing zephyr field into a multi-purpose soccer field. That would be peak New Orleans stupidity to Balkanize development with two ~70,000,000 million multi-event soccer fields as opposed to a single such facility for the entire metro area that can actually compete for a MLS team and other major events.

But maybe it will work as a soccer/sports/concert field. That area of the city is a complete nightmare to get in and out of for the majority of the city so we’ll see.

Should have put Zephyr Field in that spot when it was built. We may still have a minor league team in the area if they had. But that was peak Jefferson vs NOLA balkanization era, and East Jeff thought that was a big coup for them at the time.

Good point. They really will need to think about improving something with roads in this area.
It doesn't take much for the Tchopotoulas(sp) exit off the interstate to get backed up pretty bad with all the trucks headed to the port area.
And coming from uptown to this "River District" area will need some kind of road expansion project as well.

Idk what they should do with Zephyr field but if the new USL team gets put over there, they’ll fail. I think it’s pretty much build this new stadium or bust.
