There is no need to fire them. Just bump them down. Both of them are great recruiters. We need to hire a new DC before the bowl game IMO

I disagree. I think the whole staff needs to be cleaned out. These two guys have obviously lost the respect of the players. Need to start from square one great recruiters or not. It does no good to have the talent and then waste that talent by not being able to coach them up.

really?

tell you what - if I go into work and submit 12 projects, each one shittier than the last, when my boss flys infrom Atlanta, she doesnt demote me -no matter how much I shine in other aspects of my job - she sends me packng, and I cant blame her, and I know exactly why.

do not forget, each coach (esp Miles) is paid to produce a product on the field - this is akin to Bill Murrary's Bag-O'-Glass

No, not if "almost good enough" is your bottom line. But if you are trying to establish a culture of excellence, team character, a big-time major winning tradition, win the SEC, challenge for the MNC on a regular basis, then their remaining on staff in any capacity says something that contradicts that purpose.

Agree. And it's up to the HC to fix it. I don't care how he does it, he just needs to do it. But, as I've said before, I think Miles is a very stubborn person and very loyal to his staff, and personally, I don't see any major changes coming.

There is an NCAA limit on how many coaches a college staff can have. If we have to hire another one (DC), someone else on the staff has to go.

That is life in any high stakes business where people make a lot of money. You accept a promotion that puts you in over your head, you get fired. No second chances.

Mallory's pass defenses (secondaries) were ranked very highly nationally prior to his promotion....not so sure i would let Mallory go.

It really has come down to having to fire them. It's just the business they are in. Get a solid DC and let him build his staff.

What is our AD doing about any of this if anything?

Both need to be removed as far from play calling duties as possible. We should be searching for a DC right now before they are all gone. We should be on the phone with John Chavis and Ed Orgeron today.

Very rarely do you see a DC demoted and they choose to stay on staff. On the other hand, who would want to hire these guys after their performance this year.

Ok if you don't like Orgeron, then you have to like John Chavis. He will be available after Fulmer is gone

Fire 2 DC coaches, hire one DC, use the money saved by having one less coach to hire one good coach, that knows what the F he is doing.

neither one of those two should be on anyone's radar. Granted Chavis had his time, but he hasnt done shite lately- he's lost his touch

Chiznik is a better choice than either of those two

Pretty sure its not a money issue. More coaches means more personael to recruit. Just hire a great DC that finds great recruiters for his staff.
