Fair enough. My only interaction with Unions is my FIL complaining about the union protecting bad workers and a friend who is a lab tech in NY who says they cap her raises with scales.

The better unions will listen to its members when they complain about certain other workers. The complaints have to be made by other union members, and not management, for some actions to be taken. It's not always a free pass just because you pay union dues.
