I use the Cuddeback system. I have 1 Cell camera and 6 remote cameras. The 6 remote cameras send pictures to the cell camera or piggy back off of each other if they're too far from the home cell camera.
My remote cameras are an older model, so I use battery packs on 2 and the rest have rechargeable batteries with solar panels.
Some of my cameras have been out for 400+ days without changing batteries. I did empty the SD cards once but just because I had time to do so, it wasn't needed.
I pay 180 bucks a year for plenty of photos. You can add up to 24 cameras to one system and pay the same price.
The only cons I have run across, low quality are sent to your phone/app (higher quality are saved to system) and you don't always get the photos right away (not a big deal).
EDIT: if the animals are close, the quality is fine, it's when they're further you can't see details like counting points
