This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to contemplate doing.
Yes, I want to make sure the kids, especially the one in HS, is ok with it. I want to prepare him for what he’ll have to overcome. We are very active in the church, and he is a year-round competitive swimmer, so I think he’d be ok as he’d have things to plug into and meet people. It will still be hard for him though.
The poster that mentioned the timeline is correct in that yes, when the first graduates the second will already be starting HS. And there’s a third after that, combined with aging parents, we would end up remaining in LA (and possibly our kids too depending on what they do).
This really is a tough decision and appreciate the responses.

I’m sure glad this country wasn’t found nor settled by sheeple who based their families futures on good school districts…be a damn man and make a decision on where YOU and your WIFE want to grow old at, not where Braxton and Breonna can do synchronized swimming.
