This was more on JD than Thomas, unacceptable that the ball was underthrown and at his knees when the closest defender to him was 5-10 yards away

I'd prefer properly leading a WR, but you NEED to catch the ball when you're wide open and it comes to you.

You can't bitch about YAC, when you don't make uncontested catches.

To the people who keep screaming to put Nuss in- say he's hitting guys in stride, and they still keep dropping it. Are you thinking the refs give us a first down on style points? Because they don't.
And if you pull the one running threat out of the game (because the backs weren't doing anything behind that line), are you that sure Nuss gets even the pocket Daniels gets? I'm not sold on that. If I'm Fla State, I'm not scared of Nuss breaking contain and gaining chunks, so I'd dial it up even more, to force wild throws. He's shown that he does that at times.

I'm afraid Kelly is right, we aren't the team we thought we were. And we're at least another year away from challenging at the highest level. We don't have the guys on defense to stick with Fla State right now, and don't have the push up front to assert our will on the ground against them.
The best thing we can hope for is this: that's the only team on the schedule that outmatches us in talent, and we can smooth out the procedural errors as the season goes along.
