DBs had decent coverage and FSU let their WR make a play

Exactly right.
2019 Burrow first TD at Bama. Threw it up for grabs and let your WR make a play and Chase did.

I think Nabers said that Nussmeir trusted them to make plays when he was throwing to them, and that's what you have to do trust your WRs to make plays. Daniels wants to wait, hold the ball until someone comes open, by then he's under pressure and scramblin around or taking off and running. You have to throw your WRs open, and what I mean by that is throw the damn ball and let them go and get it, make a play on it like we're saying on here. You and others on here are right, Burrows threw to his guys and let them make plays and they did all of the time.

Yeah but Nuss throws 50 yard interceptions on 3rd and long that are basically just a punt

That or he would've thrown it and Lacy would've dropped it

(which actually kinda happened on one of Lacy's drops)

If JD would have given Nabors a better 50/50 ball on the first drive, and given him other chances it could have been a similar kind of night for him.

Their DB's had decent coverage but a talented receiver wins that battle more often than not

We have a higher ceiling with Nuss at QB.

No doubt, and that is exactly why I would not give up on this group of DBs yet. While they made some mistakes, the FSU/Wrs (probably the best group we'll see all season) made some superb plays.
