The risk of playing JD5 is not worth the reward. My concern is him not having the fundamentals down such as going through his reads. He gives me no confidence. On the other hand, I believe giving Nussmeier an opportunity to showcase his skills is the right move. First, Nuss can make reads and go through his progressions and get the ball out quickly knowing how to attack a defense. We might as well give him a shot because it may be a return on our investment in him in terms of not only wins, but also in his maturation and potential development into a QB who meets or exceeds our expectations. I hope such a transition is possible for us fans who have been waiting for the next QB who brings back the memories and skills we've not had the pleasure to partake in since Joe graced the field with his vaunted presence. I'm truly sick of the JD 5 experiment that has yielded no return of hope that I expect of this team.
