The transfer portal might have saved college football
It has given smaller programs an actual chance to compete against the “football factories”
Now mid-level programs get rewarded by having their best players hit the portal to go play for an elite program...after those big schools overlooked them coming out of high school or weren't going to have a chance for playing time as a freshman or sophomore.
