I believe gas ovens naturally heat up the kitchen more simply due to their design.

The worst thing for kitchen heat, except in mid Winter, in my experience has been a glass top range. My grandparents old gas oven/range unit was about a foot from the walls and other cabinets and such due to the heat it produced. (Less than the modern glass tops).
Current gas oven/range the heat is greater using stovetop than any heat off the stove. We’ve still been doing more takeout the last month though to eliminate the heat though.
Electric stoves seem more effective in insulation in general. Probably just due to inherent design. In this case perhaps form and function work together.
