"I'm actually pretty soft," Gundy said. "I'm easy to get along with as long as they're paying the price. Several players said the day Gundy replaced Les Miles as head coach he established guidelines that players attend class, be on time for team meetings, adhere to workout routines, represent the program well and play hard."
"Miles had no standards as to who he recruited to OState. The Prentice Eliot kid was a great athlete but absolutely morally corrupt, a true gang bangin thug."
"
Stillwater is remote, the media scutiny there is not as great and your only seeing the tip of the iceberg of whats happened under Miles tenure at OState.
Lets call a spade a spade here, winning was very important to Miles at OSU and he would've recruited Charles Manson if it helped the cause."
That said, Stillwater is not the easiest place to recruit to. He may adjust his standards at LSU where he has more to offer and can be more selective."
"Les Miles miles is ruining the LSU football program. There is no discipline. This reminds me of the LSU teams under Mike Archer and Curley Hallman (Plenty of talent, but no discipline). How in the world do you lose a 21 point lead in tiger stadium. This guy did not deserve the job. Get the web site started : "firelessmiles.com"
"Les Miles is a DA. I watch him on the sidelines and he looks completely lost and totally confused. When LSU intercepted a pass last night with 17 seconds left in the game, he was trying to call a time out. I wanted to jump in
the t.v. and tell him, "Hey DA, the clock will stop for the change of possesion". His eyes are always wide and he just doesn't look like he
knows what he's doing. This is not Oklahoma State. This is LSU. We don't expect
"occasional wins" against other big schools. We expect to win every time against other big schools. They need to FIRE his DA and make Jimbo
Fisher the head coach and go on about their business. Any wins they get this year
will strictly be from the talent of the team and not from the head coach. I don't like him. I think he's a DA country redneck and he needs to go
right now before the season progresses any further. NEXT........."

Yeah he kicked the 5 star starting QB off the team (when many other coaches would have kept him on)....yet he's soft on discipline.

well there have been discussions about it here and I believe Gundy did have problems with some of the kids on the team. Now look how successful he's been several years later. People are talking about how Miles has no control of the players at practice. Maybe it's true.

He is soft on day to day discipline.
He will stand for discipline in principle i.e RP,
but in a practical application , he is soft on it.
That's why we have had so many repeated penalties...it is a lack of discipline in the approach to practice.
The RP thing....he had to DISCIPLINE or lose the rest of the team.
two different applications of the same word.

exactly what i was thinking

I think he's already lost most of the team but as far as being soft on day to day discipline, if he keeps doing that he's just gonna have more and more problems. If you let people keep getting away with the small things they're just going to keep testing you until they get away with something big.
And I doubt it was Les' idea to let Perrilloux go.

Is Urban Meyer soft on discipline? what about Stoops, Mack Brown, Gundy, and what's his name at Texas Tech? All worse than LSU in penalties. I'd say Les is like most coaches on discipline. You kick off the team trouble makers who aren't starters or game breakers, and string along the stars as long as possible.

Wonder what those warchant assholes think now that they got thumped by 30 in poor conditions?
UF could have hung 70 on their asses on a good weather night.

its pretty clear les aint to hard on discipline. rp was given alot of rope to work with and he pushed it all the way and forced miles hand. also look at the stupid shite our players do on the field over and over.
also this is funny coming from fsu. they only let theft go on with out booting people. so if anyone knows about being a soft coach its the monkey looking bowden

Maybe so, but Oklahoma sure couldn't when it had the chance. This the first year OSU has had any kind of challenging team, so don't talk so big as the Sooners will be showing you a thing or two tonight.
