He was in three films I know of. Hook as one of the Pirates. Congo as a pilot. Rancho Deluxe
He was also in a movie called Cobb, starring Tommy Lee Jones as Ty Cobb. Buffett played a 1 armed heckler sitting on the third base line. Me and my family were paid extras in the movie and Jimmy put on a concert after filming that day (was filmed at a historically old baseball field outside Birmingham). It was the first time I’d ever smelled weed in my life. Not sure what my mom was thinking having a 10 year old there

In the early 90's I bartended and there were two songs that played over and over on the jukebox... "Something to talk about" by Bonnie Raitt and "Cheeseburger in Paradise"... I got so sick of hearing those two songs.. But that was saved by "Mardi Gras Mambo" during the season... I would scream out does anyone know any other songs?

What a shitty headline to wake up to. Prayed it was fake til I checked his socials. I've been a fan since I was an infant, and my dad would sing his songs to me while he rocked me to sleep. We'd see him almost every summer while I was growing up. I'd guess I've seen him around 20 times all together. Been to lots of other concerts, but his were always special. Thankful for the memories and the music. Sail on sailor
