Ignore all that. The side effects argument is fine, but I'd rather have a skinny population that largely cheated than a morbidly obese population dragging us all down with their "handicap."

Its not cheating. The issue is we as a society have become fricking lazy. With everything. People can 'fix' most of their health issues but the 'want' is not there because why would I want to be healthy and in shape when I can just take all these prescription medications for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, heart medications etc, and continue to be a fat slob and shovel food down my throat all day? There are MD's willing to write as many prescriptions as necessary to enable these obese slobs. Nobody tells them "hey fatso you can change your diet and exercise and get off 5 of these 6 prescriptions you are on" instead Dr's will just write 100 prescriptions. Its literal insanity.
