Why do people think LSU runs everything when it comes to how and when games are played?

There are two teams, a major corporate sponsor, and a major broadcasting network involved in this. LSU is just one voice in the room.

Not to mention Florida Citrus Sports who is the organizing entity who is producing the Camping World Kickoff. That is the entity that is on the hook for the income and expenses of the game with many contracts already in place.

Blurb from the Camping World Kickoff website:

"The Camping World Kickoff is a multi-year agreement between Florida Citrus Sports, an Orlando-based nonprofit events organizer, and ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, to host a major neutral-site college football game in Orlando during the opening weekend of the college football season."
