I think they want to cause as much division with the GOP as possible. The course the GOP is on right now is to have a convicted felon on the general election ballot. If the GOP takes action to avoid that, then GOP will lose 10-25% of its base.

This is inevitable, like it or not. The corrupt DOJ will find Trump guilty of something and he will still win the Republican nomination. Then if you are a patriotic American you will vote for Trump in the general election. If you love America, be 1 of 100 million.
