Now that my little one is getting around a lot more, I need a safe to stick just my home defense pistol and two mags in. Would prefer fingerprint, but open to recommendations. Preferably to fit in the nightstand drawer or under the nightstand. Would like recs for different price points. Amazon has some under $100 that have good reviews. So maybe an under $100 rec, and then an under $200 rec? TIA

This one on Amazon works great and is $71 now; bought two of the fingerprint models for our vehicles.

I have this one. It works as advertised. Keeps the kids out and that’s all I want it to do.

Either of yall have issues with the fingerprint reader or the batteries dying? Seems like every safe on Amazon has the same complaints in the reviews. Batteries die quickly or fingerprint doesn't work...including the two posted here.

I’ve had mine about three years and fingerprint works every time and haven’t had to change the battery yet

I got this vaultek for next to my bed. It works great.

I use this arma15 behind my bedroom door for the 300 blk suppressed SBR.

No issues with mine - yet; have had both since April. They sit out in the hot cars all day so winter may be a different story. Also have a key for them on key rings as they’re used to store the handguns / extra cash when we go in someplace that doesn’t allow guns like court/airport.

I've got the Wyze gun safe. I got it because I already had a bunch of the cameras and figured it would fit into my home ecosystem easily. It does.

Fingerprint scanner
Passcode
Can open from the app
App notifies when it's opened/closed, or attempted to be opened

$150
Wyze gun safe

ETA: I've had it for over a year and I have not had to change the batteries. Says my battery life is still at 41%

You should change them on each New Years and Independence day every year just because. Same for scope batteries.
