They are two very different islands.

You need to think about what kind of vacation you want. French Leave is really nice and in a pretty decent location. Easy to drive to the big "must see" spots... North to Glass Window Bridge, the Queens Baths, Caves and blue hole. South to more caves, beaches, towns and another blue hole in Rock Sound. You won't find: lots of big resorts to visit, lots of upscale shopping or restaurants.

Eleuthera is more geared towards the "I'm completely shutting down for a few days and get closer to mother nature." type of vacation.

Anguilla may be like that too, to be honest, I really don't know. But I've heard that it has some pretty nice resorts and restaurants.

If you choose Anguilla hit up Elvis’ Brach Bar on Sandy Ground. It’s a nice spot to have lunch and a few drinks on a really pretty beach.

You can actually fly direct into Anguilla on American Airlines now. You have to connect in MIA in the (I think around 10am).

Never been to Eleuthera but have stayed at the Zemi House and it was perfect. It was like being on an episode of White Lotus. Everything was so quiet, it was almost surreal. As another poster mentioned, they also have some really good restaurants in Anguilla that I could recommend if you're into that. We rented a car, which I would recommend. It was inexpensive and made getting around super easy.

We stayed at Zemi Beach in May and loved it. We flew into SXM, took a boat over to Anguilla, and rented a car for the time we were there. That process was pretty painless. The car was great for dinner and beach hopping. There were a couple walkable restaurants from Zemi, but they were so so. The resort is beautiful and the staff was amazing. May was very slow so it felt like we had the place to ourselves at times. The resort had a pretty decent breakfast that was included and we enjoyed that every day. They had some sort of live music every night, but everything was pretty much shut down by 11:30. If you have any specific questions, I’d be happy to answer. It’s definitely a place we will be going back to.
