I just had to replace my inside and outside unit, and ductwork. My home warranty paid me 20% of the total cost after I showed the paid invoice.

They did offer financing but it wasn't 0% interest, so I just bit the bullet. If it was 0%, I may have considered it.

FWIW, they originally quoted repair cost that amounted to about half of the full replacement cost. Considering 20% from the home warranty, I decided to just replace it all (everything was 30+ years old). I'm very happy with the decision. I stay cool at all times (which I struggled with before), my electric bill is dropping quickly (not that it was too bad before), and I have a nice warranty on parts and labor now.
