I don't like Ibanez guitars too much, but I do like their basses and pedals.

what was your recommendation for a beginner guitarist? Surely a mid priced quality acoustic.
I'd get an applause, that's what I started on.

People talk about starting with acoustic or electric, I say why not both? If you are serious about it, it can be easily attained nowadays with Reverb and ebay.
Best of both worlds, hear the notes better with an acoustic or have more versatility with electric

So your recommendation for a wanna be beginning guitarist is now to go buy two guitars? An acoustic and an electric?
If he/she is just wanting to figure it out; they probably aren’t too fricking serious yet. And buying two guitars isn’t probably going to happen.
I mean, they started a thread about it. “I want to play guitar”. The answer is a mid priced quality acoustic. If their fingera hurt too bad and they say frick it they can still get most of their money back out of a decent acoustic guitar.
Your initial response was to post a picture of a bunch of electric guitars, amps, and pedals. Which was you just peacocking. But no real advice.
Now your advice is to buy an acoustic and an electric.
And along the way you called me a pussy.
And I bet you don’t play guitar nearly as well or know nearly as much as you think you do.
Good luck OP since this got moved here.
The reason I said to avoid this place is above.
Downvote away while you discuss some fricking song, album, or whatever.

I got one of these a few weeks ago, and it's pretty damn good.

Still tweaking the mix between the Piezo and the bridge pickup in the second switch position. It will be fine when I get it just right.
The neck pickup is fantastic. Also, you can hear it well enough unplugged to play alone.
