Whatever you save up front on the Hyundai, you’ll lose that and more on the tail end. Just bite the bullet and buy a Toyota- even a used one. In 10yrs, that used 4Runner will still be fantastic, and that Hyundai will probably be in a junk yard.

This is definitely not true.

My 2011 Sonata went 140,000 miles before I upgraded to a 2015 Sonata, which went for 130,000 miles before I upgraded in 2020 to the Telluride. For both the Sonatas, I did nothing more than oil changes and spark plugs at 100,000. That is literally it.
