Since most of the ones with very formidable opponents have been already mentioned I would say the 2012 game against the Washington Huskies is up there. They came out with an early 3-0 lead and LSU won the game 41-3. They finished 7-6 on the season and managed to take down 2 teams that were top 10 at the time on their schedule. So they were neither great but they weren't cellar dweller bad either.
ETA - Just started watching the replay and they only had the 3 points because Odell fumbled the opening kickoff. Defense completely shut them out.

Why did we wait 3 years to play Washington home? I remember we played in WA in 2009 then waited 3 years until 2012 for them to come here. Usually its back to back.
