With the transfer portal and NIL, you are going to see a lot of LA guys leave for the money then transfer to LSU in their second or third year when it’s not as wonderful as they thought or they are losing while LSU is winning. This isn’t a bad thing as they can’t transfer again and you get a chance to see if they look like a complete bust before taking them back. It’s the Aaron Anderson model.

I think we are going to see this become a common theme, with 2-3 LA guys coming back home via the portal most seasons. It’s a good thing the way the NCAA is taking a hard line on waivers, too. Guys won’t be able to transfer out again until the graduate.
