Moar over rated controversy of all time. Was it a screw up, yes.

But if the refs had appropriately kept up with the downs Colorado would not have spiked the ball on what was actually 4th down. They had enough time to get a fourth down play off if they moved quickly enough.

I would agree more with the “worst of all time” thoughts of Colorado actually ran a play on what should have been fourth down, got stopped, but then scored on the 5th down. But they didn’t, they spiked the ball. Like I said, if the downs were correct they had time to rush a 4th down play.
