re: been meaning to order a spare A/C capacitor all summer

was just blowing hot air...so knew the indoor blower was fine...thermostat signal was good on contactor and outdoor fan was running but compressor wasn't...tried shutting off breaker for about 15 minutes to see if it would reset but no joy...so either compressor is out, or run capacitor is bad

put meter on capacitor and it was reading open so I knew that's what it was
