I'll take it a step further. Don't call me to ask me a question or tell me something that a text could relay easily. Pisses me off.

I have to relay info and coordinate a 12 person crew with a different 14 person crew, starting at 6:30 AM with a 8:00 show time. It's all via differing group text messages depending on the day.

Now if just 3 of these guys call me at 6:45 to tell me their kid has T-ball at 4, or they have a dentist appointment, or that they'll be 5 minutes late, I want to choke a MF'r. Text me. Chances are, I'm not going to remember who said T-ball, dentist or whatever, but if I had a text to reference 3 hours later, I would.

A phone call means, "deal with me now, dammit! I don't care what you're doing." A text means, "here's a piece of info, for you, on your time frame."

Side note- I'm not leaving a voicemail. You might get 2 phone calls, separated by an appropriate amount time. Then, I'm texting you with context.

Exactly. It’s rude. It’s skipping the line, so to speak. You aren’t more important than other people. If it must be discussed via voice (and some items are complex so I get it), request a call with me and give me a general idea of what it’s about.
