I went back and read your comments on the thread.

Besides a throw away comment, you came in “wondering” if they would benefit from the ITEP for 5 years then re-file for another 5. It was a loaded “wonder”.

Next you moved to the potential property tax if ITEP didn’t exempt them. Next you do bash Louisiana with the “Texas is smart, passing all its dirties to Louisiana. Louisiana seems to be concerned with the short term instead of looking long”

That comment alone proves that you don’t understand ITEP and the long term plan ITEP presents for rural Louisiana.

Continue to bash Louisiana for a few comments then dropped the dumbest response possible for someone who “understands” ITEP. Quoting from those strictly against ITEP with the tax revenue “lost” because of the projects.

Later admit ITEP should go away because “it’s for the best”

Then best of the entire thread is you saying you work in finance, yet the thread easily proved you don’t understand the finances or taxes of ITEP.

After that, you tried to talk budgetary about how to pay for infrastructure prior to year 11. Yet, you still push that the property tax would dwarf all the additional sales taxes and spending in the area by the temp workers but I’d it’s the fact those taxes wouldn’t be there without ITEP.

Next you tried to say these projects should buy locally. When pressed on a single company that can provide anything, anything at all at the volume of these projects, you crawfished. Hell, you even admitted no one locally has the resources.

Then you go back to the property taxes for the land, saying the sales tax collected was immaterial, which through simply math I proved the parish will make near 6x per month in sales tax compared to the property tax for a year prior to the project.

Now we will get close to the end of your stupidity, you state that CP doesnt collect taxes on groceries or drugs. Again, when proven wrong you moved on to environmental concerns.

Finally, you go back to comparing LA for TX, which once again it was shown that Texas too has ITEPs and some huge LNG plants there too.

With your final attempt instead of admitting you were most likely just wrong, at best ignorant, you keep on and say “…Texas can do what it wants…”

dude literally has zero clue

got pissed when i called him a socialist yet he directly quotes from the socialist org together Louisiana.

I dont understand why this is so hard for so many to understand, the ITEP is simple and the kind of government policy you actually want your state to produce.

If you don't have ITEP, you lose every single one of these projects to Texas. Together LA org doesn't understand that. You lose them to Texas because Texas will give them a tax break.

its real simple, LA is competing with 35 other states who have ITEP and specifically with all the gulf coast states for these industrial projects. LNG is the future of energy and SWLA and South LA needs to do its best to position itself to be at the forefront of this.

I mean its funny he brings up Texas and "doing what it wants"....wtf does he think got all those companies to leave NOLA and other areas and move to Houston area to begin with fricking ITEP like programs
