You don't have to enter it each time. You should be saving your known trveler ID number into each frquent flyer account you have. If you travel for business make sure that your travel coordinator has your known traveler ID number as well as your frequent flyer account numbers and hotel loyalty membership numbers.

They can add it at the airport check in, but as others have pointed out, set up a frequent flyer account for the airline you’re using and add it there.
